Osteoarthritis- is Ashwagandha effective for pain management?
Has anyone experimented with Ashwagandha to help reduce the pain associated with osteoarthritis?
In a recent article written by Linda Woolven and Ted Snider and released on GreenMedInfo’s website, they suggest that a daily dose of 500mg ashwagandha in conjunction with Curcumin, Boswellia, and zinc offers noticeable reductions in pain.
We would love feedback. Please let us know.
“…The 250mg a day dose of ashwagandha was also better than the placebo, but the 500mg dose was significantly better than both (J Ayurveda Integr Med 2016;7(3):151-157).
An earlier study had also shown that ashwagandha in combination with boswellia, curcumin and zinc was effective in treating osteoarthritis (Rheumatology 2001;40:779-93)”
